A Trip to a True Sports Attraction in Munich
In Munich there are many things to do – but there’s only one Allianz Arena! This particular sports venue, the home of FC Bayern, attracts visitors from all over the world. Daily stadium tours take you into areas that normally remain off-limits to the curious, for example the locker rooms or the players' tunnel – a great experience during Munich holidays, especially for young fans and budding talents. Bayern fans shouldn’t miss the FC Bayern Erlebniswelt exhibition, in which over 100 years of club history have been creatively presented for all to see.
An Architectural Symbol
Designed by the internationally renowned architecture firm Herzog & de Meuron, the Allianz Arena, with its façade made of more than 2,700 air-filled plastic panels, has quickly become one of the architectural landmarks in Munich. Contributing to this not in the least is the colour-changing exterior, which makes the stadium highly visible at night – and from afar – and adds another layer of visual highlight for this beacon of modern sports architecture.
